Elfcapades 2012: Day 2

This morning was a rush and mostly dark for all of us, getting out the door for work and daycare, so Elfis was not even a thought that early.  Who knows what he was up to all day while we were gone???  It was his first time home alone.  Luckily, when we got home, he hadn’t made any messes that I could find.  Thank goodness.

When we walked in the door, Cooper right away noticed that Elfis was not in the same spot as yesterday (on the light above the kitchen table), and immediately asked me “Where he is?” over and over.  I told Cooper that I did not know, and we should turn on some lights and look for him.  Cooper started calling out “Are you?…  Are you?”  (Meaning “Where are you?”)  After just a quick minute, Cooper found him first.  He was hanging upside down from the top of our window blinds in the family room!

and a little closer:

Cooper thought it was pretty funny.  He said, “Silly elf is upside down.”  Love that little boy!  🙂

Well, so far Elfis is staying out of trouble.  I’m worried the quiet won’t last though.  He’s bound to get stir-crazy after being home alone all day throughout the week.  We’ll have to just cross our fingers he behaves.

Oh that little Elfis, I really wonder what he did all day while you were at work and school. How in the world did he get caught up in your blinds? I’ll be anxious to hear what he does on Tuesday while you are gone. Look forward to your report.
